Greensboro, Georgia
Max and Leah Yudelson and their family lived in Greensboro, Georgia from around 1904 until 1914. Max opened a general store there. The Greensboro Historical Society had ledger books from the store that included many listings for loans - apparently the gave credit to the local farmers until their crops came in.
Jack Mosinger visited and found a court case. Apparently a box of merchandise shipped from New York was damaged and Max wanted compensation from the railroad company. Jack said the spiffy lawyers from New York representing the railroad company appeared to be surprised that Max was representing himself. However, Max must have been known as an honest man in Greensboro. The railroad company lost the case and paid Max for the damages.
